Minnesota WorkForce Centers (WFCs) provide the tools, resources and services needed for job search, career planning and training needs.
WorkForce Centers are a collaboration of partners, including the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) and local community agencies. People seeking work, businesses seeking employees, students, and those looking for a first job or returning to the workforce, will find services to meet their needs, offered at no cost. Find a job at Minnesota Works
Available to job seekers and employers, MinnesotaWorks is an internet-based self-service system where member employers and job-seekers can find each other. Membership is encouraged because it allows full access to all the features of the system. There is no cost for membership. Job seeker members may post up to five resumes to be searched by employers. Members may also search for job openings, contact employers by email, and even apply online. Employer members may post job openings to be searched by job candidates and contact them by email.

- JobConnect: Reaches out with an array of jobs and job leads. Works directly with employers. Offers the opportunity to subscribe to stay abreast of available jobs. Offers Career Readiness tools and workshops. Offers a weekly update called HotJobs that will assist job seekers with staying current on new openings in the job market.
- Indeed: Indeed.com is a search engine for jobs, allowing job seekers to find jobs posted on thousands of company career sites and job boards.
- Snag a Job: This is a great source for hourly and part-time jobs. Snag a Job connects job seekers with more than 100,000 active job listings from top employers across the country.
- Minnesota Council of NonProfits: Where jobseekers can view hundreds of jobs that match their qualifications and employers can post their latest openings. USA Jobs- The official site of the US Federal Government is your one stop source for all Federal jobs and employment information.

The ARRA Summer Youth Employment Program, directed by Ramsey County Workforce Solutions, provided 444 youth, ages 14-24, summer jobs ranging from landscape work to daycare assistants. Five community-based organizations were given $970,000 to make this happen. There is an additional $750,000 of ARRA stimulus funds to assist 375 low income, at-risk youth residing in Ramsey County with mentoring, job-readiness and retention skills, work experiences, job shadowing and job placement from April 2009 to March 2010. An additional $90,000 of ARRA stimulus funds were acquired competitively to provide mentoring, work experiences and job placement to more than 50 youth transitioning from Boys Totem Town back to their schools and communities. In August, the Metropolitan Council and three Hmong organizations will hold a business and workforce opportunity session featuring the Central Corridor Light Rail Transit project. This is the Met Council’s fourth large community meeting in less than a year for minority-owned, women-owned and small businesses or job seekers to learn about job opportunities on the biggest public works project in state history. The Dakota County Board has approved acceptance of over $1.6 million in Workforce Investment Act Funds offered through the Recovery Act. The funds will be used to enhance services to dislocated workers, other adult workers and youth.
